The Library and media center are currently used by the employees of the Rhineland-Palatinate Center for National Socialist Documentation. In addition, the library is open to all visitors by prior appointment.

The library currently holds 5489 books and 1919 journals (12.05.2015). Visitors can search the collections by names, places and subjects via an online catalog (see link below).

The library's collection is divided into the following sections:

  • Weimar Republic and the origins of National Socialism
  • Nazi Era
  • Concentration Camps
  • Nazi State
  • Resistance and exile
  • Legacy of the Nazi Era and culture of remembrance
  • Educational resources
  • Publications on the Nazi Era in the present territory of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and on regional and local commemorative work in Rhineland-Palatinate are a particular focus of the collection.
